Our Story
I come from a family rooted in entrepreneurship and community service. For the past 35 years, I have been managing St. Mary’s Financiers, a business founded by my father nearly 56 years ago. His vision, discipline, and commitment to people have deeply influenced me and continue to shape everything we do here — including our homestay and sports initiatives.
What began as a personal dream has now grown into a riverside retreat where guests can relax, stay active, and reconnect with nature.
A Life in Sports
Sports have always been an integral part of my life. I proudly represented the Pathanamthitta District Shuttle Team for almost 10 years during the 1980s. Over the years, I have continued to compete and challenge myself:
- Winner, Pathanamthitta District Table Tennis Singles (40+ category)
- Runner-up, Thrissur & Mundakayam All Kerala Lawn Tennis Tournament (35+ category)
- Finisher, Olympic Triathlon – Hyderabad (2018) (1.5 km swim, 40 km cycling, 10 km run)
Even today, I continue to push my limits and inspire others to stay active. At 55+ years of age, I am still trying to improve my fitness, tennis, pickleball etc proving that age is never a barrier to passion.
Why We Created This Space
My father was a great supporter of sports and built the first indoor shuttle court in Thiruvalla over 40 years ago — a facility that still produces district-level players. Inspired by this legacy, I wanted to create a modern, all-season sports environment for the next generation.
This led to the creation of a synthetic tennis court, ensuring uninterrupted play even during the rainy season. My dream was not only to provide infrastructure but also to popularize lawn tennis as a lifelong sport that can be enjoyed by all age groups. Coaching young players and keeping the spirit of the game alive in Thiruvalla remains my biggest motivation. Also the first pickleball court in Kerala too is adjacent to the homestay.
